Revolutionary Detroit is the final product of the collaboration between Wayne State University and the Detroit Historical Society’s conference “Revolutionary Detroit: A Global Legacy” that was held in April, 2009. Associate Professor Denver Brunsman and a dedicated group of students (both of history and non-history), have provided an all-encompassing glimpse into Detroit’s “revolutionary” past. The book consists of twenty-four student-written essays that cover a vast range of topics in political, cultural and social history.
